Biography

Prior to MobiLife, DuFresne founded Midwest Medical Equipment LLC as a distributor of wheelchairs. His passion for the disability market grew and led to the creation of Midwest Mobility Products, Inc., a company developed to merge product manufacturing with the distribution services of Midwest Medical Equipment. His vision was to offer a broad array of new ability products and expand distribution globally. In 2006, the name was changed to MobiLife LLC to more accurately describe the company's objective and focus.

Taking his dream seriously to design the ultimate personal mobility vehicle, DuFresne has traveled the world with his prototype chairs doing market research and gaining valuable insight and feedback from disabled individuals, DME dealers and medical professionals. He has collaborated with designers, engineers and end users to create a unique power wheelchair that stands out in the DME marketplace. He has personally been involved with all of the testing and certifications conducted on the CHAIR2 and his focus and determination has helped him to develop a superior product unlike any on the market.

Those who know DuFresne are inspired by his passion and dedication to meeting the needs of the disabled. Growing up with a beloved, disabled family member, DuFresne witnessed the challenges and restrictions that were not being addressed by the power wheelchairs available today. He took those realizations and set out to design and manufacture a product that would drastically improve people's lives.

"I saw a need and knew I could create something that would fill that need," explains DuFresne. "Having a disability is restricting enough without having to struggle with the limitations of your primary means of mobility.
